Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or CPA accreditation preferred. Minimum five years’ experience in accounting and budgeting at the supervisory level required with governmental or public library fund accounting experience preferred. Experience in Human Resources preferred.
Westlake Porter Public Library is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fiscal Officer to oversee the library’s financial operations. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Fiscal Officer is responsible for management of the library’s finances in accordance with statutory requirements as authorized by the Ohio Revised Code and the policies of the Auditor of State, federal and local laws, sound financial practices, and library policies.
Full-Time (40 hours). Normal business hours. Evening and weekend hours required as needed.
Exempt, Grade 420; salary determined by Board of Trustees Minimum starting salary of $80,000

The IT Sr. Associate assists both staff and patrons with the use and application of technology resources. Provides support to library staff including general computer equipment maintenance and repair. Works with and troubleshoots specialized library software. Troubleshoots and assists maintaining library hardware including but not limited to: PCs, Printers, and Copiers. Assists the IT Manager in the execution of library IT projects. Provides backup to the IT Manager in routine maintenance and reporting tasks.
Part-time, 24 hours per week. Weekend and evening hours may be required as needed.
Pay rate - $17.26 – $24.34 per hour; grade 310, non-exempt; benefits include paid vacation, holidays and sick leave and retirement through the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS)

Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited university. One to three years of public service library experience preferred, with an emphasis on selection of materials in various formats. A broad knowledge of cultural literacy is essential. Must have knowledge of popular materials including movies and nonfiction reading material. Readers’ advisory skills are necessary. Knowledge of principles, theories and concepts of library science, as well as online reference resources is required. Ability to communicate and function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Under the direction of the Technical Services and Collection Development Manager, oversees selecting, purchasing and promoting the audiovisual and adult nonfiction materials collection in various formats for the library’s patrons. Maintains a quality collection through appropriate selection of new materials from a variety of resources and thorough weeding. Assists patrons in understanding how to use the materials, equipment and processes in the library and provides accurate, timely information, materials and referrals in a courteous and expedient manner.
40 hours per week. Evening and weekend hours will occasionally be required.
Nonexempt, Librarian/Specialist; Grade 320 – $20.50 – $28.90 per hour
