VolunTEENs
WPPL accepts applications for energetic and creative teens to help with a variety of tasks and programs around the Library during two sessions every year: the summer and the academic school year. As space permits, we do accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the school year.
This is a great opportunity for teens in grades 8-12 to give back to their community, get service hours in a fun, relaxed environment, and boost their college applications!

We are no longer accepting applications to volunteer during the 2025-2026 school year. Check back on June 1 for applications for our Summer 2026 volunteer session. Contact Youth Services with questions.
Bob and Donna Manly received the Myrna Chelko Volunteer Award at the Volunteer Appreciation Reception on April 28. Bob and Donna, Friends members since the 1980s, volunteer in the Book Nook and at the Annual Book Sale.
Volunteers with Developmental or Intellectual Disabilities
Volunteer opportunities within the Youth Services Department are available for those ages 14+ with developmental or intellectual disabilities. If you are interested or know someone who may be interested, download an application and return it to the library.
For more information contact the Disability Resources Librarian at (440) 250-5471.
WPPL hosts the Next Chapter Book Club! NCBC is an opportunity for adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities to make friends, enjoy books and have fun on a regular basis.
Club spots are limited and if you are interested in joining a club, or if you are interested in helping us provide NCBC to the community by facilitating a club, please contact the Disability Resources Librarian at 440-250-5471 for information.
